WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU ENROLL
Getting Started: What to Expect Before Your Program Begins You’ll receive a welcome email with your login details and a pre-course checklist to help you get set up. You’ll meet your assigned ESL instructor via email and submit your first short video introduction. Included in your welcome kit: -A pre-assessment and a learning goals survey – please complete these so we can personalize your experience and address any learning gaps. -Instructions for submitting your first short video introduction. -Details on how to join our community spaces and connect with others in the program. -Please indicate 5x 1.5 hour times slot during the week to schedule your 1:1 sessions. You will receive confirmation which of those 3 preferred time will be reserved for you. If you enroll before Friday at 5:00 PM (EST), your official first week begins the following Monday. While real community engagement begins once your session starts, we encourage you to take this time to organize your personal schedule so you can be fully present when the program begins. The Zoom link for your live sessions will be available on your student dashboard. New lessons are released every Saturday afternoon, so you’re ready to start fresh each Monday. Assignments are due every Sunday by 12:00 PM EST.
